While you can't always save the day, you can save Halloween with these super-easy superhero costumes. Whether you forgot about your work's costume contest, have a kid that's growing like a weed and doesn't fit into theirs, or want to try your hand at something more sustainable, we have the easiest superhero costume tutorials right here. 

The Incredibles

The Incredibles added a full family of superheroes to dress up as. To make a quick and easy Incredibles costume, you only need a few things and a little know-how.  

Materials

• Incredible logo 
• Foam paper 
• Spray adhesive 
• Safety pins 
• Scissors
• Red long-sleeved shirt 
• Red leggings or sweatpants 
• Black gloves
• Black belt 
• Black shoes/boots 
• Black domino mask 

Instructions

1. Print off a picture of the Incredibles logo. 
2. Glue it to a sheet of foam paper using spray adhesive. 
3. Cut it out and safety pin the logo to the front of your shirt/sweatshirt. 
4. Put on the rest of your clothes, domino mask included, and you're ready to go!

Batman

There have been so many Batman costume iterations over the years that you can whip one up in 30 minutes.  

Materials

• Chunky belt 
• Yellow spray paint 
• Batman logo 
• Foam paper
• Spray adhesive 
• Safety pins 
• ³§³¦¾±²õ²õ´Ç°ù²õÌý
• Black/gray jeans/sweatpants/leggings 
• Black/gray long-sleeved shirt
• Black cape
• Black boots
• Black mask with bat ears

1. Head outside to spray paint a chunky belt yellow. 
2. Let it dry for an hour or two. 
3. Print off a picture of the Batman logo you like the most. 
4. Glue it to a piece of foam paper using spray adhesive. 
5. Cut the logo out and safety pin it to the front of your shirt. 
6. Put on your shirt, pants, and boots first. 
7. Then add the cape and store-bought mask to finish things off.

• T-shirt with the Superman logo

• Dress shoes
• Long-sleeved button-down

1. Put on your glasses, t-shirt, khakis, and dress shoes. 
2. Put on the long-sleeved button-down, tucking it into your pants. 
3. Add your belt. 
4. Unbutton the top few buttons on the shirt until the entire Superman logo is exposed. 
5. Now, you're ready to show off your Clark Kent to Superman transformation! 

The Crow 

The Crow might be cursed, but this quick Crow costume certainly isn't.

Materials

• Black leather jacket
• Black bralette/tank top 
• Black jeans or leather pants 
• Black boots 
• White face powder/paint 
• Black lipstick 
• Black eyeshadow 
• Black eyeliner or face paint 
• Makeup brushes 

±õ²Ô²õ³Ù°ù³Ü³¦³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²õÌý

1. Put on a tank top, leather jacket, pants, and boots. 
2. Wearing a towel to protect your outfit, cover your face in a thin layer of white face powder. If using face paint, wait for it to fully dry. 
3. Apply heavy black eyeshadow all around the eyelid, socket, and undereye. 
4. Apply black lipstick to your lips. 
5. Using a thin liner makeup brush or an eyeliner pen, draw a line from the middle of your eye up into your forehead and down to the end of your cheekbone. 
6. Repeat to the other eye. 
7. Using the same product, extend the edges of your mouth out into an exaggerated smile. 

Dr. Manhattan 

There's no one more powerful (and dubious) than the big blue superpowered star himself, Dr. Manhattan. Bringing the Watchmen character to life is as easy as blinking an eye. 

Materials

• Blue Morphsuit 
• Glue stick 
• Blue facepaint 
• Black eyeshadow 
• Black eyeliner/facepaint 
• Makeup sponges
• Makeup brushes 
• Setting powder 
• White or sclera contact lenses 

Instructions

1. Cut out the face of your Morphsuit and put it on. 
2. Glue down your eyebrows. 
3. Sponge on a liberal amount of blue face paint. Let dry. 
4. Apply heavy black eyeshadow across the entire lid up to the brow bone.
5. Using a thin liner brush, draw two concentric circles in the middle of your forehead. 
6. If using professional makeup as opposed to face paint, set your face with loose makeup powder. 
7. Finish the look with white or sclera lenses.  

Black Canary

• Black bodysuit 
• Black leather jacket 
• Black fishnets
• Black combat boots
• Fingerless black gloves

1. Put on your black fishnets, then the body suit. 
2. Add a leather jacket, combat boots, and fingerless black gloves.

The Shadow 

The Shadow is an old-school superhero whose comic book and radio show definitely inspired the Dark Knight himself. Pay homage to this classic pre-DC and Marvel character with this easy Halloween costume.

• Black overcoat/trench coat/cloak 
• Black slouch hat 
• Black gloves 
• Long red scarf

1. Wrap the red scarf around the lower half of your face, leaving the ends dangling. 
2. Put on your coat over the scarf, making sure to keep your face concealed. 
3. Add your hat and gloves and you're ready to go. 

The Hulk 

This easy Hulk costume tutorial will make you anything but angry.

• Purple cargo shorts

1. Take a pair of scissors and a seam ripper to the bottom of the shorts.

5. Put the shorts on over the Morphsuit. 
6. Paint your face green and let dry. 

John Constantine
